Where the general public is the star of the show
Great British Bake off , channel 4

The advert starts with an establishing shot of the well known bake off tent, this would get the audiences attention as they associate this with the show. The audience will already know lots about the program as it is widely known across Britain and is one of the most viewed TV shows every year. However the advert is a montage of what happens in the show. They use a range of camera angles and angles from multiple episodes along with dialogue and comments from the bakers and judges; "it was pretty awful". The use of a soundtrack lifts the mood and makes for a happy advert. A voice over also explains the premise of the show and advertises viewing time to remind the viewer when it can be viewed. The advert is appropriate for the target audience which would be mainly normal people who have a passion to bake. A secondary audience could be people that are fans of the celebrities that are sometimes on. This brings even more popularity to the show and will create a bigger buzz about the new series once the celebrities are released.
