Deodorant Advert In this task we had to arrange different deodorant adverts to create our own montage of the clips using premiere pro. As this was our first editing task it was difficult to get used to at the start but at the end i had learned how to cut, trim, rearrange clips and add transitions to combine the clips. I also added music to the video and synced the audio in parts with what was happening at the time whether it was in the scene or a transition.

The Kuleshov experiment is where the same reaction is used for different sequences of footage. This shows how context is important to scenes in media as in my task it shows the actor smiling at some sweets which makes him seem innocent whereas when the footage shows hes smiling at a child being shouted at, it makes him seem creepy and weird but makes him come across as a different person.

Today our task was to take a range of shots around the school.  A tilt shot or canted angle is used to show speed, movement or an unsettled mood. A long shot is used to show something at distance. It can be used to show a character at distance and to show that they are dominated by they're surroundings.    A close up shot is used to concentrate the audiences attention to one thing with minimal background detail. It can also be used to show a characters emotion or feelings.
